Quinte West, Ontario – NOD Apiary Products Ltd. is pleased to announce the addition of Hannah Neil to the NOD team as Beekeeping Co-ordinator, effective immediately. Managing NOD’s apiaries, assisting with research, and teaching beekeeping classes, Hannah will contribute to NOD’s commitment to innovation and education for the betterment of the global beekeeping community.
A former co-president of the University of Guelph Apiculture Club for four years, three years of commercial beekeeping in Saskatchewan and New Zealand, and a Team Leader at the Saskatchewan Beekeepers Development Commission for five years, Hannah brings valuable leadership, beekeeping, and research skills to NOD.
“It is with great pride and anticipation that we welcome Hannah to the NOD team. Hannah will be integral to the expansion of our research capacity, and in the launch of our new Education Centre. She will lead NOD’s inaugural hands-on season-long introductory beekeeping course, to commence later this spring. Increasing our research and education personnel means NOD will be able to help more beekeepers have healthy bees,” said Dr. Heather Broccard-Bell, NOD’s Honey Bee Health Researcher.
Hannah Neil says, “Beekeeping is a diverse industry where nature and agriculture meet. Pest and disease management are paramount, and cannot be ignored in the current climate, with the Varroa mite having a nearly global reach. NOD’s stellar reputation for environmental stewardship and easy-to-use products make keeping healthy bees accessible and sustainable. Applied research is necessary to continue moving our industry into the future, and I am pleased to be working with NOD toward their goals in this area.”
In her spare time, Hannah enjoys walking her dog, gardening, candle making, and fibre crafts. Hannah spent the last two years working on vegetable farms in British Columbia and Ontario, but is thrilled to be returning to her first love, the bees. She is very excited to be joining the team at NOD and can’t wait to get started!

About NOD Apiary Products
NOD Apiary Products Ltd. is a Canadian company formed in 1997 by beekeepers in Canada. Honeybee and animal health is our focus. The founders at NOD developed a practical, sustainable miticide for the beekeeping industry that uses formic acid as the active ingredient to control varroa, tracheal and tropilaelaps mites. When properly formulated, this organic miticide eliminates the risk of residues in the hive and can be used safely during the honey flow. Formic Pro™ and Mite Away Quick Strips (MAQS Beehive Strips) are registered in several countries across Europe, and in Canada, The United States, and New Zealand.
NOD Apiary Products Ltd. continues to aid the developing apiculture industry by producing organic and sustainable Honey bee health products.
