July 11, 2022 – This upcoming year marks a noteworthy milestone at NOD Apiary Products Ltd.: 25 years committed to honey bee and animal wellness. Originating in Canada in 1997, NOD has developed innovative, practical tools for treating honey bees under stress from parasitic mites, ones that are effective, sustainable and safe. NOD has registered its bee protection products in Canada, the United States, New Zealand and many countries across Europe, with anticipation of expansion into more markets globally.
NOD Apiary Products Ltd. has a clear passion for honey bees and is continuously engaged in learning about bees and their benefits. Honey bee health is essential for the sake of our food and our future, so cues are taken from nature to develop viable solutions for beekeepers. We are keen to share this knowledge with others and are in the process of developing an education centre at our new facility in Quinte West, Ontario.
Reflecting on the last 25 years as a business, NOD has had a willingness to consistently evolve and this has contributed to the success and satisfaction of customers. All of NOD’s distributors that make up the team to service beekeepers worldwide are highly valued key players in taking the company to new heights.
From CEO, David VanderDussen, “I am very proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish over the last 25 years. This milestone is more than just a number, it’s about our dedication to creating quality products and our passion for healthy bees and a healthy planet. Becoming the number one formulated bee protection product in North America shows the value we are bringing to a sustainable future.”
NOD Apiary Products Ltd. would like to thank all employees, who have been a big part of their growth over the last 25 years – without all of their hard work and commitment to honey bee and overall animal health, NOD could not have become what it is proud to be today.
The future is bright and buzzing!
About NOD Apiary Products
NOD Apiary Products Ltd. is a Canadian company formed in 1997 by beekeepers in Canada. Honey bee and animal health is our focus. The founders at NOD developed a practical, sustainable miticide for the beekeeping industry that uses formic acid as the active ingredient to control varroa, tracheal and tropilaelaps mites. When properly formulated, this organic miticide eliminates the risk of residues in the hive and can be used safely during the honey flow. Formic Pro™ and Mite Away Quick Strips (MAQS Beehive Strips) are registered in several countries across Europe, and in Canada, The United States, and New Zealand.
NOD Apiary Products Ltd. continues to aid the developing apiculture industry by producing organic and sustainable Honey bee health products. NOD Apiary Products was awarded the Ontario Premier’s Award for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence, 2006, Innovation Project of the Year, 2008 and Agri Business of the Year, 2011. Our passion is honey bee health and young livestock wellness, and as such, we are dedicated to environmental stewardship.
