It looks like most of the bees are bearding out on the front of the hive. Is this normal?

It is normal for the bees to beard out for the first few days, especially under warmer conditions.

To help prevent excessive bearding, add a super with frames to the top of the hive during treatment. This will give the bees space to move up, away from the strips, instead of out on the front of the hive.
